Would you like to know how things are around here?
Let’s get what you really care about out of the way first.
We had our 2 month appointment yesterday. LP is still small. But she’s healthy, with only a heat rash and a bit of acid reflux. She’s in the 8th percentile for weight and the 12th percentile for height. She is still, for the most part, a very happy baby although she is starting to show preferences for certain people over others…which can be awkward when Meemaw comes over. She is smiling and can hold her head up. And she is *finally* out of newborn size diapers and into her cloth diapers (only for a week though!).
This weekend, we’re taking a trip to DH’s parents house for his sister’s graduation and also for a trip to see Garrison Keillor and A Prairie Home Companion. I’ve always wanted to go and since Keillor announced his upcoming retirement, that put the fire under the burner for getting tickets. Amazingly enough, the group is coming to Seattle next Saturday and we were able to get tickets. It’s an outdoor venue, so we’re hoping it won’t rain – especially because LP is coming with us. We also have our final baby shower, which is actually more of a “come and meet the baby” party, thrown by my father-in-law’s church. It’ll be our first overnight trip with LP, so I’m sure there will be some forgetting of something vital but I hope it will be worth it.
